Assalamu alaikum, I would like you to clear this doubt I’ve always had.....is it k to carry bacon or deliver food from not halal restaurants while doing deliveries thru instacart or Uber. Jazakalllah khair.
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
May Allah (swt) reward you for your concern and grant you halal rizq. Ameen.
Allah (swt) says in the Quran,
وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ..
(5:2)
``... And help each other in righteousness and piety, and do not help each other in sin and aggression. Fear Allah. Surely, Allah is severe at punishment.``
Therefore, this would be considered as تعاون علی الإثم (helping in sin).
One should try to find another job. Once he gets another job, he should drop this current job (ubereats, instacart).
May Allah (swt) grant you ease in your situation. Ameen.
