Is eating some species that reside in the ocean haram? Such as scallops, oysters, eel, squid, octopus, mussels.

May Allah (swt) reward you for your concern.


According to the Hanafi school of thought, anything that is considered to be a type of fish, would be permissible. Anything that would not be considered as a type of fish, would be impermissible.
