Jame Abu Bakr Masjid Project Update, June 19, 2006
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,
Assalamo Alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuhu.
By the grace of Allah and with duas and generous donations of muslim brothers and
sisters, the construction of our new masjid is progressing very well.
After winter cold months, the construction work started in April 2006.The following
work has been done since then.
1) 75% excavation work was done before winter months. Further excavation was
carried out to reach the depth required for the basement. It is 100% completed.
2) Concrete footings and foundation walls were started in May, 2006. This work is
100% complete.
3) Basement concrete floor and plumbing rough work at basement level is under
progress which will be completed before the end of June 2006, Insha Allah.
4) Footings and foundation of Minaret at north east corner is 100% complete.
5) The steel structure work will start,Insha Allah, in July 2006. As you know, the
steel structure is the most major work involving very high costs.
We need to raise 1.2 million dollars by August 2006 and further 1. million dollors by
December 2006 to ensure the progress of construction without delay.
This is the house of Allah under construction for our benefit and our future
generations. We appeal to every muslim brothers and sisters to make DUA and
donate generously for the house of Allah. This is the opportunity to earn ever lasting
rewards and blessings for you and your murhumeen.You can be part of the house of Allah in any of the following suitable way:
i) Make lump sum generous donation,
ii) Donate for concrete blocks to be used in the house of Allah. You can contribute
for any number of blocks at $125 each.
lll) Pledge at least $3,000 and pay by installment of $125 per month for two years.
iv) Talk and encourage to your friends and relatives to donate for this noble cause.
For lump sum donation, please send your cheque payable to Jame Abu Bakr Siddique.
For donations by installments, please complete the enclosed pledge form and return it
with void cheque for direct deposit process. A self addressed post prepaid envelope
is enclosed for your convenience.
All of your donations are tax deductible. An official receiopt will be issued accordingly.

There has been no reliable confirmed sighting of the hilal (crescent) as yet for the month of Shawwal (Eid ul Fitr) anywhere in North America. The Hilal Committee of Metro Toronto and vicinity
has anounced that the Eid-ul-Fitr will be Insha-Allah on Friday November 4th, 2005.

Hilal Committee of Metro Toronto and vicinity will meet on Wednesday November 2,2005 at International Muslims Organization of Toronto (IMO) after Magrib Salat to decide the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Depending on the moon, Eid will either be on Thursday November 3rd, or on Friday November 4,2005. For information regarding Eid (Moon sightings), please visit this website after 5:30PM. The site will be updated every half hour with any news regarding moon sightings InshaAllah.

The Toronto's Hilal Commitee has announced that the first fast of Ramadan
will be on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, based on Local Moosighting. Since there were no reports of confirmed moonsighting in North America tonight,
the Hilal Committee has announced Wednesday to bethe first Day of Fasting.
Salat-Ul-Isha will be @ 8:30pm
